Land based factories
The Polar Seafood organization owns several highly modern factories for packing and processing cooked and peeled shrimps/prawns (Pandalus Borealis). One factory Naajaq Seafood is situated in Esbjerg, Denmark, and the 2 Polar Raajat factories are situated in Nuuk, and Aasiaat in Greenland. In addition to these, Polar Seafood has a vested financial interest, and are involved on a partnership basis with a further six factories in the Upernavik area in North Greenland, for the processing of Greenland halibut.
Hyper modern cold storage
In Vester Hassing (top picture), only a few kilometres from the Vodskov sales office, Polar Seafood has established its own hyper modern cold storage with a holding capacity og appx. 6.000 MT. This facility also contains fully automized lines for consumer packing of shell-on prawns.
Prime quality fish procossesing and smoke house
Also in Esbjerg, Denmark Polar Seafood has Polar Salmon. The factory process prime quality fish. Mainly using the old traditional Danish method of "Smoking" Polar Seafood also offers Smoked Salmon, and Smoked Greenland Halibut as part of its range portfolio.
