Redfish

The redfish (Sebastes mentella) or (Sebastes marinus) is an Arctic fish from the North Atlantic seas. It is easily recognised by its orange colour and big eyes.

Habitat
The redfish from Polar Seafood is ether fished by East Greenland or the Irming Sea. It lives in the deep, cold water and is fished down to 1000 meters. Thanks to the low temperatures of its habitat, the growth rate is slow, yielding firm reddish meat with an excellent flavour. The redfish is low in fat and high in protein. This fish is amenable to a large number of cooking presentations including poaching or grilling.
